This is my blog of random ranting and STUFF.
im just throwing this out here, cuz no one will believe the truth that bungie copied off of one of the most known gaming companies in the United States. because you can clearly see the what the same in both race and storyline wise

Starcraft           Halo
Marines            UNSC          both are fighting for galatic peace. master chief acts like Jim Raynor
Protoss            Covenent     both are highly religous and made up of different alien races
Zerg                Flood           both leaders names sound very similar OverMind(Starcraft) Gravemind(Halo) and both infect/reanimate corpses as units to fight with
Edit: Xel'Naga (Starcraft) Forerunner(Halo) Both high tech races believed to have created the Zerg/Flood and protoss seek the Xel'Naga as Protoss seek the Forerunner

also, starcraft is an RTS halo was originally going to be an RTS
SEE THE TRUTH!

The REAL truth is their all the same because one secret entity is behind them ALL!!!

The three races actually control the world and are getting ready to assimilate us all!
on Jul 21, 2008
Alot of things follow the same three race pattern to some degree.
Starship Troopers, Starcraft, Halo, AvP, SupCom, SINS, and many other acronyms.

LIES, STARSHIP AVP SUPCOM AND SINS DO NOT HAVE LITTLE BUGGERS TRYING TO REANIMATE DEAD CORPSES AND DESTROY ALL LIFE!

The three races actually control the world and are getting ready to assimilate us all!

and thats just really unlikely

Shamrock? I may be way out there on this one, but I say... get a girlfriend. 'Nuff said.

Why does it matter? So what, they copied. Life goes on, no one cares.

Might as well throw in Star Wars for being inspired by Flash Gordon and many elements in Halo being based off Star Wars.

Copying ideas and tweaking them is not a bad thing.

true, i just think that honorable game companies like bungie wouldn't copy better companies like blizzard but still alls fair in love and war

Honor is a rare (And often career or company ending) concept in business.

Umm wait, Bungie is not an "honourable" company. Remember they sold out to Microsoft - originaly MAC developers who switched to PC to make a really awesome concept game then MS took em since they needed a killer app for the Xbox.

Secondly, Blizzard is not a "better" company, they are the same - they sold out to the masses, now they cannot do the stuff they used to, with that much money you CANNOT run risks. I mean could YOU risk YOUR billion dollars on a bunch of 30 year old chavs? I wouldn't.

The real work is done by the small companys who have less to lose and who can't simply buget 50 million for UBER graphics. Instead they have to prove they can make an awesome game.

Err how did I get on this subject? Anyway companys who refuse to use the best ideas on the market for thier product are called idiots. They don't last very long.

The Protoss is one race, not made of of many. They have two main societies though, the conservative Khalai Protoss and the exiled Dark Templar.LIES! and ways bubb9 its not story, its the truth

I'm curious then, who are these other races in the Protoss?

All right I'm not the only one who thought this.

Can companies be honorable? Maybe so, but the only ones I see at the moment (that come to mind) are Stardock and Crytek.

As for Blizzard being "better," it's not. I find Blizzard worse, easily, as I don't find any interest in their games (at all), while I tend to find intense interest in Bungie's. Therefore, Bungie is superior to Blizzard, for me. It varies from person to person.

And copying another company is not a bad thing. At least, if the copying isn't a carbon copy or a small variation of carbon copying. Again, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Bungie did not 'copy' Blizzard, its simply the standard three race formula:
Balanced(usually the player race)-Terran/Humans
Quality-Protoss/Covenant
Quantity-Zerg/Flood
They are simply using the same formula that many other games have used or will use.

As for the Ancients Xel'Naga/Forerunners, sorry but that is a common element of a lot of SciFi/Fantasy and is used as a cheap way of bringing in tech higher than the creators of the universe want to be the norm.

You must have missed the whole Patch 1.3 thing ...

They canceled support to the first game so they could implement it in a new product. Honorable? I don't think so.

While releasing a new game is alright by me, they should not have outright canceled the patch and still claim support.

Nope; the archons are simply the merged souls of two high (or dark) templar.

Um who cares? I have noticed that the obvious rip off Bungie included in Halo is the Halo itself which I believe certain people fron Bungie have gone on record to admit that the Halo ring world was inspired by the Vavatch Orbital from the brilliant 1987 scifi novel 'Consider Phlebas' by Iain M Banks.
